Meet Shivali Mathur
Strokearts was founded by Shivali Mathur, an artist, educator and community arts practitioner with more than 25 years of teaching experience.
As a NAC Approved Trainer, MOE Approved Trainer and PA Approved Trainer, she has guided thousands of learners across Singapore through structured and encouraging art education programmes.
Her teaching approach combines strong artistic foundations with personalised guidance, helping learners develop confidence while enjoying the creative process.

Do I need prior art experience?
No. Many students join with little or no previous experience.
I haven't drawn since school. Can I still join?
Yes. Classes are designed to help adults rebuild confidence and develop skills step by step.
What types of art can I learn?
Students can explore drawing, sketching, watercolour painting, portraiture, landscape painting, knife painting, Indian folk art and mixed media techniques.
How are the classes structured?
Classes include demonstrations, guided practice, project work and personalised feedback in a small-group setting.
Are materials included?
Yes. Most materials are included unless otherwise stated.
Can I attend a trial class before enrolling?
Yes. Trial classes are available for new learners.
