Art Classes for Children Ages 6 to 8 in Singapore

Creative Minds is Stroke Arts’ art programme for children aged 6 to 8 in Hougang, Singapore, designed for young learners who are ready to move from free play into real drawing and painting skills.
Classes build steadily on technique, colour theory and composition, giving children the tools to plan a piece of art and see it through to completion.
At this age, children are curious, observant and eager to improve, and our lessons are structured to match that growing attention span and appetite for learning.

FAQ

Does my child need any drawing experience to join?
No. Most children joining Creative Minds are new to structured art classes. Lessons start from the basics and build up gradually.
Creative Minds introduces real technique, such as colour mixing, composition and finishing a piece of work, rather than open-ended sensory play.
Yes. Children complete and take home finished pieces regularly, and are encouraged to build a small portfolio of their work over each term.
Groups are kept small so instructors can give each child individual feedback and adjust pacing to their skill level.
All paints, brushes, paper and basic materials are included in the class fee. Your child only needs to bring themselves.
Our instructors observe each child’s progress and readiness, and will guide parents on when a move to the Ages 6 to 8 programme makes sense.
