Shivali Mathur is an accomplished artist, art educator, and entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to Singapore’s art scene for over 25 years. Through art classes, workshops, seminars, community art projects, and corporate events, she has been instrumental in delivering quality art education to children, youth, and adults.
As the Founder of STROKEART, she is dedicated to nurturing creativity, building strong artistic foundations, and promoting cultural art forms through structured and meaningful learning experiences.
Work Experience
Art Educator - 2000- Present
- Managing Art studio and providing quality Art Education to all age groups.
- Worked as CCA Art Teacher with Global Indian International School from 2007 to 2013
- Worked as Art Facilitator for SMU Indian Art Club from 2008 to 2010
- Conducted Rangoli art e-presentation, Rangoli on canvas activity and Deepavali feast at Edgefield secondary school 2023
- Conducted Madhubani Art bookmark design activity at Tao Nan Primary School Aesthetics Week 2023.
- Conducted Warli art and Madhubani art workshops at Esplanade ‘Kala Utsavam’ event 2015- 2018.
- Conducted ancient Indian games and art activity at Indian Heritage Centre 2016
Artist Entrepreneur
- Name entered in Singapore Book Of Records for making longest (20 meters) handmade Toran (door decoration) as a member of CACC Sengkang West Community in 2019
- Participated in President Charity Exhibition 2015 with display of 9 paintings. One painting titled ‘Integration’ printed on EZ-Link Cards and 2 other paintings featured on two Singapore Postal Stamps
- Conducted Art activity with Sengkang West CC at Passion Arts Festival in 2018
- Our Indian Art Programme was featured on the ‘Vanankkam Singai’ Show on Vasantham Mediacorp 2023.
- Received The prestigious Singapore Prestige Class Award. 2021/2022 and The Aspiring Woman Entrepreneurs Award in 2021/2022.
- Participated as a judge in numerous art competitions hosted by various communities and organizations.
- Received Women Achievers Award for contribution in community, 2024
